Cradles to Crayons Service Project
Our Student Council chose to work with Cradles to Crayons as a school service project to help children in need. They initiated a warm clothing drive and our families rallied to collect coats, hats, shoes, boots, blankets and other winter necessities.
The students, along with some parents and teachers, then spent a couple of days at the Cradles to Crayons warehouse. They sorted, cleaned and organized donated items for children who needed clothing, toys, boys, coats, boots, and more. They also made hand-written “Well Wish Notes” with a message for each child recipient. Gold Coast Prep students, teachers and families alike were proud to sponsor the Cradles to Crayons effort.
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low-income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities in need.
