Gold Coast Prep

A Classical Education for Today's World

The Gold Coast Prep program is designed to immerse the child in complex interactive experiences that are both rich and relevant.  The three elements of a classical curriculum:  content, process, and communication are integrated into the learning experience from preschool through 8th grade.

The Middle School Years

During Middle School, Gold Coast Prep students develop knowledge and skills, learn to manage emotions and relationships, and acquire attributes and abilities that will be important for enjoying their adolescent years and assuming adult roles.

Lower Elementary

Too often, the scholastic elementary school experience dampens the spirit and inherent wonder of a child’s curious mind.   At Gold Coast Prep, the teachers’ effective use of what is relevant to a child is the key to maintaining both attention and curiosity in this highly academic program.

Art Integration and Project Work

When learning is accomplished through student-initiated projects coupled with dynamic and responsive teaching, the results can be compelling.  Art is integrated within the curriculum, affording students hands-on opportunities to do something with the knowledge they are acquiring.  Gold Coast Prep is committed to this constructivist orientation from Early Childhood through 8th Grade.

Arts Integration from a Student Perspective

Reggio-Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education

The Gold Coast Prep Early Childhood environment is strongly inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education and draws on the child’s interests and curiosity as the basis for the course of study.
